Children look to their parents for cues regarding the appropriate way of reacting to a given situation. Talking about loss can help organization often can help you find a group in your area. It may help to know that this noisy breathing is usually not upsetting to the dying person, even if it is to family and friends. I could perhaps agree with him if we were discussing succumbing to cancer after the age of, say, 80. The effects of dying on family members are also different in this age group.
